Dumb Ass Of The Week 2/24/2020

Unnamed Sources Suck

The title probably gives away this week’s winner and that is CNN for their story regarding Russian Collusion, Part 17 and Russia’s meddling in the 2020 election-which has not yet happened- which they attributed to the aforementioned UNNAMED SOURCES, which they’ve already started to walk back. Adam SchiffThe trouble all began when Shelby Pierson, an election security official who reported to Joseph Maguire the former Director of National Intelligence, was allowed to brief the House Intelligence Committee regarding the 2020 election. Apparently, according to CNN’s ‘unnamed sources’, Russia is not only meddling in the 2020 election but doing so in favor of Donald Trump. On top of which, these same sources have affirmed that Russia is trying to help Bernie Sanders win the Democratic primary. I would also like to mention, IN THE OPENING PARAGRAPH, that Adam Schiff is the Chairman of the Intelligence Committee and that this information was leaked after a classified hearing with the same committee.
There are several things to note about all of this:
(1)    Joseph Maguire has since resigned his post as the Director of National Intelligence because his term was due to expire on March 11th (in two weeks). The administration has been looking for a replacement and have gone with Richard Grenell, who had been the Ambassador to Germany. The important thing to note is that Maguire was not forced to resign, his term had ended. According to administration officials, team Trump is looking for a place to retain Joseph Maguire.
Second Admendment(2)    President Trump was irate over the revelation that Russia is apparently trying to help his campaign. Again, not so fast, because that has not been verified by anyone who attended the hearing. President Trump was upset, UNDERSTANDABLY, that Shelby Pierson was allowed to testify before he had gotten a briefing as to what her testimony would entail. The Director of National Intelligence is a part of the Executive Branch of our government and reports directly to the President. As such, he’s entitled to such a briefing and protocol, especially in Today’s hyper partisan atmosphere, dictates that he understand the information that the House Committee is about to receive from his own branch of the government. To add insult to injury, the Bernie Sanders campaign had been briefed that Russia had tried to infiltrate his organization.
(3)    CNN and the other news organizations which had released, as news, these unverified leaks have been forced to walk back their stories because of their apparent lack of truth. Some believe that Adam Schiff probably lied or misrepresented the facts.
The Board of Directors at Dumbass Apparel do not care which candidate you support for President. However, we do not believe that Unnamed Sources from CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post and so many other news organizations are to ever be trusted. In fact, anytime that one of these organizations do not cite their sources of information, their entire story should be discarded entirely. Further, going forward, the Dumbass of the Week blog will only list Adam Schiff’s name in bold, red and underlined lettering because we find him utterly devoid of humanity and want him viewed as the dangerous viper that is only meant to do us all harm. And lastly, please stop with the Russian Collusion stories regarding our elections. At Dumbass Apparel we understand that foreign powers may try to influence our elections in a variety of ways and that the election of the U.S. President has a worldwide impact. So let’s take a moment to discuss Russian Collusion, what might be in Russia’s best interest and which candidates or parties would best serve their purposes.
In short, Russia wants to be Europe’s supplier of gas and oil. Russia has been trying to annex the Crimea from Ukraine, so that they can control more of Europe’s gas and oil supply. Donald Trump has made the United States energy independent and an energy exporter…which would turn the U.S. into a competitor of Russia with regards to energy exportation. Also, Donald Trump has supported Ukraine with missiles and tanks so that they can fight Russia and not allow them to simply annex Crimea from Ukraine. Again, Donald has shown real support, military backing, of Ukraine. Unlike Obama who simply sent blankets and well wishes to Ukraine in their war against Russia. If you were Russia who would you rather have as the President of the United States? The man who has given your adversary tanks and missiles or someone from the other party who gave them blankets but no real support? If Russia is anything, it is not stupid. Also, as someone who would not have voted for Hillary Clinton at gunpoint, I find it a bit more than insulting to believe that Russia had any effect on my discard for that woman as the President of the United States.
So to Adam Schiff and every other Dumbass who suggests Russian Collusion and to the staff at CNN who are willing to pen stories without named sources regarding Russian Collusion, the sad fact is that you have all done more to harm our election integrity than Russia could be ever accused. You are the enemy who is trying to foment anger amongst the American people. During the aftermath of the 2016 election, we were told that Russia had used about $100,000 in Facebook ads to create confusion and derision but all with a pro-Trump slant to help get him elected. At Dumbass Apparel we have a better than clear understanding of the type of exposure that $100,000 in Facebook ads can provide. Our understanding is so clear that we believe that one crazy weekend or week, in Las Vegas, would be a more productive and useful way to spend $100,000. You would certainly have a better time doing so with more to show for your effort. In other words, $100,000 in Facebook ads is not that much. So don’t believe everything that you hear, especially from Unnamed Sources-which suck.

Sincerely,
Joe Dumbass
